Adverse Weather Update School Closure – Sunday 11th January
Good afternoon/evening,
After reviewing the current conditions and the forecast, we will be open on Monday with a delayed start to 9:30am.
The main roads are open (if slower than normal) and public transport is up and running. However, local conditions do remain icy currently, so more time and care are required.
The delayed start on Monday morning will give time for the:
- site team to get the school site ready
- students more time to navigate the tough conditions and take their time getting to school
- rush hour to mostly pass before local travel is required
- staff, who travel a longer distance, to have time to get into school more safely
Delayed Opening Tomorrow, Monday 12th January:
- The school day will begin at 9:30 am
- The site will be open to students from 9:20 am
- Registration will begin at 9:30 am, running until 9:50 am, and be followed by Period 2 starting at 9:50 am
- The remainder of the day will follow the normal timetable, and we will finish as normal at 3:05pm
We recognise conditions may improve overnight, but this plan ensures a sensible and safer start to the day.
