Mrs Alison McConnell
Alison has been a member of the Governing Board at King Edward VI Northfield School for Girls since 2007, but her association with the school goes back a lot further, as she was a former pupil herself and she also chose to send her own daughters to this school.
Alison is the Safeguarding Governor and her main responsibility is ensuring all Safeguarding Procedures are in place. She works closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and other Pastoral Staff, who are committed to supporting every pupil to overcome any barriers they may face. Alison also meets regularly with the SENDCO to ensure pupils with special educational needs and disabilities are able to fully access an appropriate curriculum.
Alison is passionate about education, previously working as a Teaching Assistant at several local schools, and she endeavours to ensure that our girls are given the best possible opportunities to flourish during their time here.
